Lots of fun was had today with my dear friends in their back garden today! I remember Nick so well from kennel life that I LOVE being able to regularly visit him, he’s such a happy soul as can be seen in the photos of him playing with his wonderful mum! I feel like these photos completely encapsulate the joy of rescuing a dog and watching their personalities bloom, nothing is quite as rewarding as that. His big (little) sister was hiding in the house as she thought I’d come to cut her nails.. ha ha! Bless her. As much as I love taking portraits of dogs, I also ADORE these candid moments between dogs and their owners and having the ability to capture them, it truly makes me enjoy this job so much more as I think owners want natural photos, that show the relationship between them and their beautiful pets rather than everything completely staged. I love making sessions fun so the camera just fades into the background and we get the true nature of the dog and owner bond!
